What is a human hair wig?

Our human hair wigs are made of 100% human hair and you can treat it as your own hair. The human hair used are collected directly from an Indian, Chinese, Cambodian, or Caucasian hair donor. It has the most natural look which can be cut, styled, permed, or coloured to suit your personal taste. And requires more care; they have to be shampooed, dried, styled and conditioned, just like your natural hair. Like your hair, they can lose their style if they get wet and frizz on humid days. Indian hair is currently the best hair on the market for wigs and weaves. It comes in different textures. These include straight, curly and wavy.

What is the difference between Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs?

Lace Front Wigs have lace at the front hairline, allowing for a natural look. Lace front wigs are manufactured with a thin lace that extends from ear to ear across the hairline, about 4inches/ 6inches width, and the back area is machine wefts. 

while Full Lace Wigs have lace all over, providing versatility in styling and parting. Full lace wigs can be parted anywhere you wish.

What is a pre-plucked lace wig?

When a wig is plucked, it is less dense in front, which is exactly the case with real hair. If you inspect your strands, you will notice hair of unequal length and some short baby hair around your hairline. This is because new hair grows constantly, and they will not all be the same length. For a wig to be completely realistic, it must imitate just that. Plucking of the hairpiece creates those perfect baby hairs and a flawless hairline. 

What is a weft?

A weft is strands of hair that have been sewn on by machine or hand-tied along one edge to create a line of hair. The hand-tied hair is a much smaller and thinner weft than the machine weft. 

How do I choose the right wig size?

Refer to our size guide for accurate measurements. Measure your head circumference, front to nape, ear to ear, and temple-to-temple. Choose a size closest to your measurements for a comfortable fit.

What does Density refer to?

The density refers to how thick the hair is and what density you order is really based on personal choice. Most people achieve a natural appearance with light to medium or medium density; however, your choice will depend on your styling preferences and individual profile.

What are Bleached Knots?

When a dark hair is tied to the base of a lace wig with a knot, you can see a dark dot on the skin, especially when the base is lace. Lace cannot hide the knot in the same way a monofilament base does. Bleached knots usually are only done at the front of the lace wig and it helps create the illusion that your hair is growing out of your head.

What's Virgin Hair?

Virgin hair is 100% natural and not under process which may cause any damage to the cuticle. We make the virgin Remy hair run in one direction with the natural look which also minimizes tangling. Our virgin hair is soft, and natural looking. We trust that our virgin hair will satisfy you.

What's Remy Hair?

Human hair collected directly from only one hair donor is Remy Hair. It's sometimes referred to as Cut Hair. The majority of human hair sold in the industry is non-Virgin hair. The hair cuticle has been stripped by using an acid-bath. With Virgin Hair we do this so the hair cuticle is intact, therefore the hair is stronger.

What is Yaki Texture and what is the difference between Yaki and Silky?

Yaki texture is processing we do to your wig that adds a micro kink to the hair strands to mimic African-American relaxed hair.
The silky straight hair texture is the natural state of the Indian, Chinese, Cambodian or Caucasian Hair as it comes from the donor. 

Are the wigs pre-styled or can I customize them?

Our wigs come pre-styled, but they can be further customized to suit your preferences. Full Lace Wigs offer the most styling options, allowing for various hairstyles and parting.

How do I wear my wig for the first time?

1. Remove wig from the plastic bag. Gently remove the protective hair net from your wig. Give your wig a few good shakes to separate the fibres to give some body to the hair. Some wigs need to be shaken to release the pre-set styling.
2. When you receive the unit the lace will be really long in the front, you will cut the lace along the front of the unit. The goal here is to create a new hairline. You will not cut all of the lace, as you will apply adhesive pr combs to the lace/your new hairline.
3. Brush your hair away from your face and secure a wig cap in place, tucking in any extra hair.
4. Hold your wig at the sides. Place it at your natural hairline and slide it on from front to back. Adjust the wig as needed so the front edge is just over your natural hairline. Use the ear tabs to centre your wig from left to right. If the wig is too tight undo the hooks at the base of the neck and try again. If the wig is too loose move the hook up a level and retry the wig - repeat until comfortable.
5. Tuck in any stray hairs at the front, sides and nape. Use a soft or fine tooth comb to brush to style.

How do I care for my wig?

Follow our care instructions provided with each wig. Generally, use a gentle shampoo, detangle with a wide-tooth comb, and air-dry. For synthetic wigs, avoid heat sources.

Can I style my wig with heat?

Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs made with human hair can be styled with heat tools. Always use heat protectant products.

How can I avoid my hair from shedding?

Here are some tips helpful on prevention of shedding hair overall:

You may braid up the hair of your full lace wig or tie it in a ponytail, or do a hair wrap before going to sleep so as to minimize tangling. It is recommended a scarf on your head or a hair bonnet is used when sleeping if you will be not be removing your wig; this will cause less breaking and shedding of the hair for your full lace wig.

Can I shower or swim with a lace wig on?

Yes, you definitely can. Well! Getting your wig sewn on to cornrows, or using Waterproof adhesive or tape will be needed on your lace cap when you swim. Remember that chlorine and salt water may cause damage to the hair of your full lace wig, so you need to wear a swim cap during swimming or wash the full lace wig after swimming to avoid chlorine and salt water left on the hair of your wig. Ensure to wash your wig shampoo and conditioner after swimming.

Can I use the blow dryer to dry my hair after washing?

We do recommend you to let your hair dry naturally, since blow dryer may cause damage to your hair.

Can I dye my wig?

Yes, our Human hair lace front and full lace wigs, can be dyed. 

As a general rule it is easier to darken the hair than to lighten the hair. However, we recommend consulting a professional stylist to ensure the best resultsColoring by yourself will take a risk of not coming out the shade you want. If you can’t get to a salon, please always use good quality hair products and test a small sample first.

How long I can expect the wig to last?

The lifespan depends on the type of wig and how well it's cared for. Human hair wigs can last a year or more with proper care.

As our hair is 100% human hair, it will shed and tangle like our own hair. The slight shedding is normal and will not affect your installation.
The life expectancy of the hair is solely dependent on the care and daily routine you provide to your hair. Please avoid chemical harm or heat harm. If well maintained, our hair can last 6-12 months for daily installation. If you have a professional stylist help you maintain your hair regularly, it will last more than one year.(we have some customers who have the experience to last our hair more than two years with better maintenance themselves)
 

Attention:

As the curl of the kinky texture is tightest, you will need more effort to manage it and you will experience more shedding compared to the coily and the curly texture. Please have more patience and time to detangle it gently.

When you wash or detangle the wig product with the lace part, such as the the lace front wig and the full lace wig, please be gently and carefully to better protect the lace part.

Can I wear this wig if my head is full of hair?

Yes, you can also wear the hair after braiding your own hair in small cornrows by beehive or tying straight back. Also, you can wrap your hair back simply.

Can I wear this wig if my head is with no hair absolutely?

Yes. These wigs are the perfect choice for women with hair loss caused by cancer, alopecia and so on. Many women will renew their confidence when wearing a full lace wig.

Can I return or exchange my wig if it doesn't meet my expectations?

How do you deliver the lace wigs and how long time can I receive the wigs after placing orders to you?

Coco Capri Hair delivers by Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, USPS, DHL, and FedEx.  NOTICE: It’s ok to ship to PO Boxes. Please refer to our shipping page for details on shipping / delivery times.

Will I be notified when my order is shipped and How can I track my order?

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. Use this number to track your order on our website or the shipping carrier's website.

Can I place a rush order?
